Adam Berman serves as the Executive Director of the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, a spiritually vibrant, socially progressive, multigenerational retreat center and community in the Connecticut Berkshires. Adam is also the founder and director of ADAMAH: The Jewish Environmental Fellowship. To learn more, visit: www.isabellafreedman.org. For three years, Adam served as the Director of the Teva Learning Center. He holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and a BA in Enviornmental Studies from Brown University.
Shabbat Candle Lighting

Welcome Shabbat with warmth and light! Lighting candles is a tangible and spiritual way to mark the work week’s end and Shabbat’s start. Not sure how? We'll show you! For the first 20 minutes, Dasee Berkowitz will lead a brief program, with Adam Berman on guitar, teaching about candle lighting and setting the mood to usher in Shabbat. Women and men welcome; drop in and join us. Candle lighting time is 4:35 PM. Candles may NOT be lit anywhere other than at this session for fire safety reasons.
