Jewish Journeys Panel
- Friday 9:10PM–10:25PM Empire Room 1
Identity and Responsibility
In the stormy seas of the Catskills lakes, three intrepid Jewish educators and visionaries have been thrown off the Limmud NY ship and are stuck on an abandoned island. All they have are the clothes on their backs and their most precious belongings: a book; a poem or song; and a movie that best defines their Jewish vision of community. Hear from three inspirational leaders what their three personal items are, about their journeys, and how they impacted their ideas of what being Jewish should look like.

The Place Where Everybody Knows Your Name
- Sunday 6:05PM–7:20PM Coffee Shop
Identity and Responsibility
Looking for a place "where everybody knows your name?" A place to hang out with friends, to engage in rich conversation or light banter? Through a discussion of sociologist's Ray Oldenberg's concept of a "third place," television clips, and Torah text, we will think about the nature of community and how we can create our ideal communal space.
