Shirah Rachel Apple's contemporary fiber, installation, and book work draws from Jewish text. Her latest installation is based on the concept of relationship expressed in the Song of Songs. She holds an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. An engaging public speaker, she has addressed audiences about Jewish art in Jerusalem, Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Milwaukee, where she oversees teen programs at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
