Creating and Using New Rituals for Elders

  • Friday 9:10PM–10:25PM Tower VIP Room

Ritual and Prayer

Rituals help to express what is important in our lives and provide a communal setting for our experience. Using a sampling of innovative rituals, and looking to our tradition, participants will explore the meaningful thresholds of their own years and consider how they might want to celebrate these moments individually, and within their families and communities. Collectively, we will consider the personal impact of new rituals that honor our years, and consider their impact on our spiritual communities.

How to Surf the Coming Age Wave

  • Saturday 11:30AM–12:45PM Congressional Room 1

Identity and Responsibility

Challenge and immerse yourself in the waters of growing older and experience the exhilaration of riding the waves—the peaks and the valleys of elderhood. Although this ‘wave’ might appear frightening, it offers many blessings and opportunities. Using the resources of Spiritual Eldering and the teachings of our tradition, we will utilize various tools to review and complete our lives.
