Treasure Cohen is a Jewish family educator, teacher trainer, and professional storyteller. The former director of Family and Community Education at the Jewish Education Association of MetroWest, she is currently an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, a consultant to synagogues and schools, and a matriculated student at the Davidson Graduate School of Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Welcome Shabbat with joy, music, and puppets! You and your children will share a special Shabbat experience of songs, prayers, and stories. A special feature will be the puppet sermon which will teach and delight child and adult alike.

Catch the spirit and the fun in a joyful, child-friendly Shabbat morning service. With song and prayer, story and Torah, you and your child will celebrate Shabbat through an engaging, meaningful service. Special features will be the Big Book Prayer Book, the Torah parade, and the picture Torah scroll. Younger and older children are welcome.

In 1926, Mrs. Denenholz, mother of 10 from Far Rockaway NU, addressed her Sisterhood on the topic of "How I Train My Jewish-Americans." In 2009, we know something that she did not-- how it all worked out. In this session, you will have the opportunity to predict the outcome and discuss what you think makes a difference in instilling a Jewish identity in the children of today.
